What does McCain/Palin plan to do with social issues? (Logical, clean answers only) ?

Without bias to a certain candidate, explain using logical reasoning and supported evidence how McCain/Palin will address social issues (ie gay marriage, abortion, Christianity, poverty, etc)

  1. Restore the American middle class value system.
  2. Untax the rich, other than that absolutely nothing.
  3. Hopefully they live up to their conservative values and outlaw abortion and gay marriage, and allow prayer back in schools. Also completely reform, if not abolish welfare and make people take some personal responsibility for their own lives.
  4. Well McCain and Palin are really two different people on this topic. McCain is, historically at least, much more middle of the road than Palin. In John Kerry terms he supported abortion rights before he objected to them, same with opposing tax cuts for the rich, same with the environment. In order to get the presidency though he has endebted himself to the fundementalist christian right, which puts him in a bad position. Remember he wanted Lieberman to be his VP, and may still nominate him for Supreme Court Justice. Palin on the other hand is a typical christian wing nut. She even opposes rape abortions. Under their leadership there will be no money to help the poor because all of our (borrowed from China) money will be going to our "task from god" in Iraq. Education will of course continue to suffer, both for lack of funding as well as the right wings objection to proper education. Gay marriage will most certainly be off the table, but with McCain's moderate leanings I do not think you will see an amendent defining marriage as between a man and a woman. If McCain is elected I would expect him to be assassinated by the christian right, so that Palin can institute a theocracy.
  5. McCain/Palin: Abortion - against in all cases, no exceptions. Gay Marriage - against in all cases Christianity - for at the expense of all other religious views Poverty - as Republicans they desire to create more wealth of the top 2% and as such will create and fully support more poverty Teach creationism in schools - both for Allow school prayer - both for but neither realize prayer in schools is already allowed. Palin wants a mandated school prayer 10 Commandments in schools - both for Government buildings can fly the Confederate flag - both for McCain voted against a MLK holiday on several ocassions www.ontheissues.org/John_McCain.htm
