What are some social issues about Darfur country right now?

Darfur is a country that faces different problems and issues right now. I just want to know some of it so i can include it in my research about different social issues in some country's particullarly Darfur.

2. Problems and issues? It's a bit more than that. Genocide quickly pops to mind. That's a big one over there.

4. so many things happen in one day!!. i watched part of the documentry and a mother in the village said, "sometimes we dont go to the wells to get water. if i send my son i risk him being killed. if i send my daughter i risk her being raped" i coulnt belive this..makes me appreciate were i live so much more :)
5. Darfur's not even a country. It's a region in Sudan. Some rebel groups there believe that the Sudanese government favors Arabs and oppress non-Arabs. The Janjaweed, which is a group that is supported by the Sudanese government, has been killing and raping non-Arabs there, partly in response to the claim of oppressing non-Arabs. (I guess they proved that poing, didn't they?) Basically, it's genocide, and the UN won't admit it. If you want to know more, you can look it up on Wikipedia.
