Because social issues don't matter to our generation, what will the political battles be surrounded by?

I'm sixteen. Most people my age could really care less that I'm gay. Yes, we are liberal and we are conservative, but the social issues don't matter. Sure some say deragatory words and can be ignorant, but nothing nearly hateful or as politically driven as some social conservatives have worked it out to be. Not that social issues have defined the current generation, but when today's teens are in their 40s what will be dividing us?

  1. Um . . . veg vs. meat eaters?
  2. in our 40's, the mistakes of our forefathers and the stigma attached to (fill in the blanks) will be the issues dividing us aka history, just like it is right now
  3. Income Taxes, Property Taxes, the unbalanced budget and how to salvage the Social Security System that may be defunct by the time you are in your 40's and have no pension. Sounds like a homework assignment to me....
